2020 Membership Details

  • Opening Details: Tallyho will open on June 30, 2020. We will start with reservation-based lap swim and then, assuming all goes well with lap-only swim, we will move to reservation-based recreation swim on July 5th.
  • Dues: We requested a mandatory special $200 fee from all bonded members prior to June 1. An additional pro-rated flat fee of $350 based on our delayed opening will apply to all members who wish to use the pool. The fee for associate members to use the pool is $725. You must log on to your account to pay this fee. Only then will you have access to make a reservation to come to the pool.
  • Reservations: For summer 2020, you MUST have a reservation to come to the pool. There will be no exceptions.
  • Tallyho Covid-19 Operating Guidelines: Please read these carefully. You will be expected to sign a release of liability waiver and comply with all guidelines. To understand how we developed our capacity numbers and these guidelines, we ask that all members familiarize themselves with current federal and state agency guidelines around pools:
  • New Members: We are currently accepting new members. Contact us (thmembership@gmail.com) and we will work with prospective members on an individual basis.

How Much Does it Cost?

Full Membership Dues: $625 per year plus one-time $800 bond fee.

(Bond is 80% refundable. And can be paid over 1, 2 or 4 years.)

Associate Membership Dues: $800 per year as availablehttps://tallyhoclub.org/tallyho-rules-6-29-20/

How do I Decide Which Membership is Right for My Family?

We offer two membership types:  Full and Associate.

Full memberships are guaranteed year to year (assuming annual dues are up-to-date). Full members also have the opportunity to vote on club business. This is the most popular and cost-effective option for families in the area long term.

Associate memberships are offered on an “as available” basis.  There is no guarantee from year to year on the quantity of Associate memberships available.  If you plan to be in the area temporarily (1-2 years), an Associate membership might be the best option. We currently have associate memberships available.

What is the Purpose of the Bond?

Originally bond proceeds were employed as seed money when the club was first founded. Now, they help ensure we have adequate reserves to address the annual maintenance and improvements required of a swim club.  Our strong financial position has given us the luxury of not having to raise dues or incur debt when maintenance needs have arisen.

Do I Get Any Portion of the Bond Fee Back When I Resign?

Yes – Eighty percent of the bond price is refundable when you resign (prior to the annual dues due date) and once your bond is purchased by a new member (if purchased in installments, the bond is refundable only once it has been fully paid).  Due to strong demand for new memberships, there currently is no waiting list for bond refunds.

Do We Have To Be Members of The Club To Join The Swim Team?

Yes – The swim team is an activity available only to active Tallyho members (Full or Associate).

Besides Swim Team, What Other Activities Offered By The Club?

We kick off with our annual Open House.

Our famous potluck picnic celebrations from Noon to 3pm on Memorial Day, July 4, and Labor Day are always popular.  Music, games, entrees and drinks are provided.  Members bring a side dish or dessert to share.

We also will schedule a number of family movie nights throughout the summer.

We offer tennis programs for players of all ages and skill levels.  For the kids, we offer awesome week-long camps (all-day and half-day).

For adults, we offer water aerobics by H2O Fitness. Early Bird lap swim begins in early June and runs through August.  We designate 3 lanes exclusively for lap swimming, as long as pool use permits.  Regardless of heavy use, whenever the pool is open, at least 2 lanes always are designated for lap swimming.

In addition, we plan to schedule at least one adult party/social this summer.

And every Thursday during the regular season is Float Night, when swimmers bring their favorite lounging floats and everyone enjoys free ice cream floats.

Do We Have to Be Members of the Club to Attend Tennis Camp?

No.  Tennis camps at Tallyho are available to anyone who signs up.  However, members are offered discounts. Tennis Camp information and registration are available on our website.

How Long is the Pool Season?

Because our pool is heated, our season lasts longer than most of the pools in this area.  We open on May 18 and close around the second week of September.  From now until the end of the school year, we are open 3 to 8 p.m. M-Th (9 p.m. Fri)  and 11 a.m. to 9  p.m. on weekends.  Our regular season starts on June 17, when regular hours are 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. daily, 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. on weekends.

Can I Bring Guests to the Pool?  What About Hosting Parties at the Pool?

Yes, you may bring guests to swim at Tallyho.  There is modest guest fee of $5 per person.  Members may host birthday parties and other events at the pool.  There is a $50 party fee, plus any appropriate guest fees.  A Party Request form must be filled out and submitted so we can ensure proper staffing.  The form may be accessed on our website’s Membership Page and Contact Page.
